Kitsune, the trickster spirit of Japanese folklore, drawn in sumi-e style.

Coyote, the trickster spirit of Native American folklore, drawn in the style of the Pacific Northwest.

Basically, concept art for something I'd like to do: telling a story about characters from different cultures through a blend of their respective art styles. Though I don't think it's workable until I can figure out some way to draw landscapes in the Pacific Northwest style...

Critique always welcome. (Especially on the character designs, since they're a work in progress.)
